Get a behind the scenes look at how crime scene investigators gather evidence and help solve crimes.
What happens when a crime is committed? Crime and suspicious death are unfortunately part of human life. In this workshop, you’ll get to work hands on with realistic crime scene evidence, learn some of the techniques police use tp solve crimes and get a taste for what it’s like to be a crime investigator.
The Forensic Mystery Workshop is an interactive and engaging workshop aimed at letting you get out into the thick of real-life crime investigation. The Workshop will take you through the fascinating world of crime investigation, from initial findings at the crime scene to photographing and collecting critical evidence.
You’ll use cutting-edge technology, like forensic light sources to investigate clues in real life crime scenarios.
The day will be highly engaging and packed full of realistic crime scene evidence to examine. Working in teams or individually, you will get hands on with collecting evidence, fingerprinting, photographing, and learning forensic science to help solve crimes as you learn how police solve crimes from start to finish.
Whether you’re a budding detective or just curious about how police solve crimes, this workshop is the perfect introduction.
What You Will Learn
You’ve heard of the Murder Mystery game, well this is that game but on steroids … ! After a short practical theory session, you will be asked to put on your best Sherlock Holms thinking cap and by gathering the evidence that is available at the crime scene, putting the pieces of the puzzle togother and using it to find out who is the prime suspect that committed the crime, which may will be someone that you are doing the course with.

Course Duration
The course is delivered over a 1 x 6hr face to face training workshop block or multiple shorter workshop blocks for a school-based course. The course is also available over several days in the school holidays with scene scenarios changing regularly. There will be a short quiz at the end of the workshop to test your knowledge.
Certificate
Each student that attends the workshop will receive a personalised Certificate of Attendance.
